When it's time to move from layout to production, the right power tool makes the difference. The Skilsaw worm-drive circular saws and 16-in beam saw are workhorses on our shop floor for cutting timber to length, and the Makita chain mortiser cuts mortises in a fraction of the time hand tools take, which matters when you're producing a full frame.

For beginners, we still teach hand tools first; once you've got the fundamentals down, these are the tools that scale your work.
