Cone Slip Stone Sharpening - Shelter Institute

These cone slip stones fit most gouge shapes and sizes, honing the inside of the flute where flat stones cannot reach, and they are soft enough to shape as needed for a perfect fit. Work both sides of the stone to hone both sides of your gouge. Three grits: the 280 takes out nicks, the 1000 reshapes the bevel and starts the polish, and the 4000 keeps a fine edge fine.
