The Hibiki is Silky's take on the traditional ryoba, the double-edged Japanese saw with rip teeth on one side and crosscut on the other. Silky brings its modern blade engineering to the old form: the blade is chrome-plated against rust and pitch buildup, and taper-ground thinner behind the teeth so it will not bind in the kerf.
The rip side is graduated, 11 TPI at the heel for an easy start running out to 7 TPI at the toe for fast cuts with the grain, and the crosscut side carries a fine 18.6 TPI for a silky-smooth finish. Both sides are impulse hardened. The aluminum handle is rubber-gripped, a snap-lock sheath protects the teeth in transit, and the replacement blade is stocked here.
