Our axes are tempered in our fires to produce the right hardness to hold an edge, then hand ground for a factory edge that's ready to go to work. Fitted to a 28-in select American hickory handle and completed with a genuine leather blade guard.

The Snow & Nealley axe heads are drop-forged from high-carbon steel. Skilled Maine Craftsmen hand-temper, grind and finish the head to meet their quality specifications. The outstanding design and durable constrcution is a result of five generations of tool crafting.
