Böhme Suncare 900 is a clear, penetrating UV pre-treatment for new or bare exterior softwoods such as cedar, pine, fir and spruce. It soaks into the wood and protects the lignin from UV damage before weathering shows, which slows graying and helps the stain on top last longer.

Apply one coat to all sides of the board, then follow with a compatible exterior stain such as Böhme Ligno or BoMol. It is ultra-low VOC and cleans up with soap and water. This is the one-gallon can.

  • Size: 1 gallon
  • Type: clear, penetrating exterior wood pre-treatment, used under a stain, not as a topcoat
  • Woods: new or bare exterior softwoods and whitewoods, including cedar, pine, fir and spruce
  • Coverage: 300 to 400 sq ft per gallon; one coat on all sides
  • Topcoat: a compatible exterior stain such as Böhme Ligno or BoMol
  • Application: brush, pad, roller or spray, with the grain, keeping a wet edge; 45 to 80°F and 40 to 60% relative humidity; no rain expected within 24 hours
  • VOC: ultra-low, under 30 g/L; soap and water cleanup
