A Hudson Bay Axe
The Brant & Cochran story is tied to the Hudson Bay Axe. The founders started canoeing in the 1970's in Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area with their Dad who always carried his trusty Norlund Hudson Bay Axe on those trips.
This one's for you Dad.
Say hello to The Voyageur! Inspired by the Hudson Bay style axe made by Bangor's Snow & Nealley before WWII, the Voyageur has a 2 lb. U.S. 1045 carbon steel head hung on a 24" Amish-turned hickory handle secured by a black walnut wedge.
[And if you are interested in the story they told Down East Magazine about their Dad's axe you can find it here.]
Each Voyageurs is stamped with a pine tree & north star stamp and the Brant & Cochran anniversary logo on the sheath!
