The Honing Guide is essential for truly sharp chisels and plane blades. This beefy guide will accommodate chisel bodies up to 2⅜-in wide by up to ¹¹⁄₁₆-in thick(if the chisel is beveled ). The relatively soft, and wide, brass roller will not damage your stones like some other steel roller guides. Also, the roller is mounted on an offset pin which allows you to adjust the Heightt of the guide above the stone.
