The Z-Saw Folding Kataba puts a Japanese pull saw blade in a package that folds closed over its own teeth, so it rides in a tool bag without shredding everything around it. Two sizes: the VIII with a full-size 265 mm blade, and the V-Handy with a 200 mm blade for the pocket. Replacement blades are stocked for both. The steel handle with rubber grip coating gives real control, not the flimsy feel folding saws are known for.

The universal tooth pattern at 15 TPI handles rip, crosscut, and angled cuts, and the teeth are impulse hardened so they stay sharp through hard and soft wood. The blade is replaceable when it finally fades. Open it, lock it, cut.

  • Options: VIII 265 mm saw; Blade for VIII 265 mm; V-Handy 200 mm saw; Blade for V-Handy 200 mm
  • VIII 265: 10-1/4-in blade, 24-1/4 in open, 10-in grip, 13 in folded
  • V-Handy 200: 8-in blade, 19-1/4 in open, 7-1/2-in grip, 10-1/2 in folded
  • Teeth: 15 TPI universal pattern, impulse hardened
  • Blade: replaceable; sets straight or angled for surface cuts without skinning knuckles
  • Handle: steel with rubber grip coating, folds over the blade
  • Made in: Japan by Z-Saw
