Sharpen your favorite gouge like never before. These special slip stone accommodates most gouge shapes and sizes. The stones are even soft enough to shape as needed.

Use both sides of this stone to hone both sides of your gouge. Typically the ground edge is the one used to sharpen - the smooth edge is honed only at the very end to remove the bur.

We carry three different grits of these stones. The 240 will help you remove nicks from your tools, the 1000 grit will help to reshape the angle and begin the polishing and the 4,000 grit is meant to polish and maintain fine edges.
