This framing square shows why. It is made of stainless steel, so unlike a standard framing square it never rusts, never needs oiling, and never transfers grime onto your freshly planed timber. We added it to our tool kits because it is simply truer than the common hardware store squares, and a true square is everything in laying out joinery.
