The Gransfors Outdoor Axe was developed with survival expert Lars Falt for people who use an axe in many different ways in the countryside. Its relatively long handle and heavy, elongated head let it fell and limb small trees, and a protective steel collar under the head means it can split light firewood without chewing up the handle. At about a pound, it rides in a backpack all day.

Hand-forged in Sweden by a Gransfors Bruk smith who stamps his initials in the head, with a vegetable-tanned leather sheath and the Gransfors Axe Book.
